As the year comes to a close, we look back on the value Clinical.ly Research Suite provided to our customers, as well as examine what worked and, more importantly, what didn’t. One of our basic tenets is that ideas for new features must come from our customers, not engineering. We strive to marry the vast experience of research practitioners who utilize the platform with our deep technical expertise, ensuring we deliver the most valuable functionality our customers require.
The platform has grown immensely over the past year, and many of the features from last year’s top 3 list are still delivering enormous value. Therefore, to not repeat last year’s list, we looked at new features that our customers found most valuable as measured by time saved and reduced or eliminated mistakes.
Global Documents
Updating CVs, licenses, IRB rosters, etc., is time-consuming and error-prone. This feature allows our customers to upload a single document to multiple studies and subsequently update it in one place, thereby updating it in every location.
Bulk Upload
You may have hundreds if not thousands of documents and folders you must upload to an eISF. Uploading one document at a time is impossible. Bulk upload solves this problem. You may select multiple folders containing documents and many sub-folders, drag your selection into your eISF, then sit back and watch the system re-create your folder structure in the eISF and upload documents into the new folders.
Email Attachment Tracking
Please consider this scenario: you receive an email from your IRB containing multiple documents. You forward this email to your eISF, then move the attachments to their proper folders. Years later, a question arises on when exactly did you receive one of those documents. Now everyone scrambles to search their inboxes for the original email!
This year we took email documents into the system a step further by tracking and displaying all email attachments, no matter where you might move the original email or any attachments. Every document contains a link to the email to which it was attached and vice versa.
Thank you, everyone, who contributed to these ideas and worked with us to ensure the platform meets the ever-evolving needs of the research industry. These features delivered a disproportionate amount of value, and they are only a small subset of the rich functionality offered by Clinical.ly Research Suite. Please reach out to us if you would like to learn more about Clinical.ly and how we may help you achieve your goals in the coming year and beyond.
